Hugo Borst opens cultural platform Weisbard in Little C

Hugo Borst is a well-regarded author. With a love for Rotterdam, football (Sparta to be more specific), and art. Weisbard is his new own cultural spot in Little C. At this cultural place, he exhibits art and organizes events. Every first Thursday of the month, there is something going on in the evening.

Bost has named this platform after Karl Weisbard. An entrepreneur who together with the more famous Abraham Tuschinski enriched Rotterdam with cinemas, theatres, and other entertainment. In the new Little C-area, both businessmen have been named a street.

May 5 is the first event. When two prominent journalists from Rotterdam will talk to each other in Weisbard. Wilfried de Jong and Robert van de Roer will discuss pressing matters on Liberation Day.

Borst has invited Tom Barman for the first exhibition from May 17. The Belgian musician, director, and photographer will kick off with the spectacular ‘Hurry up and wait (Rotterdam edition)’ in Weisbard. Tom Barman became famous with his rock group dEUS but he is also a passionate lover and art collector. His photography is inspired by his many travels and tours around the world.
