Haute Photographie is a new photography fair with a concept unlike any other. At the Keilepand a group exhibition, featuring works by the grandmasters from the history of photography to young talents, is presented during Rotterdam Art Week.
Haute Photographie can be considered a boutique photography fair. Compared to other art fairs, Haute is a peaceful meeting place, where collectors, artists, curators, corporate clients and galleries come together. Surrounded by a selection of the worldβs finest art photography. The collection brings together a select group of international galleries, strengthened by a high-quality book market. The market at Haute Photographie is coordinated by Artibooks.
During the 5-day event renowned names like Lenny Oosterwijk and Vincent Mentzel from Rotterdam show work. Lenny Oosterwijk has been taking photos of rivers since 2007. He called that project Heraclitus. The photos show the river reflections as abstract, apparently infinitely moving images, they often look more like a painting than a photo.
Vincent Mentzel has been one of the most iconic documentary photographers in the Netherlands. He literally gave shape to the news.
The exhibiting talents at Haute Photographie are presented by GUP New. An annual book series celebrating the 70 best emerging Dutch photographers of the year. The talents are chosen by a jury consisting of photography experts on behalf of GUP New.
Haute Photographie takes place in the striking Keilezaal from May 19 to May 22. Tickets can be reserved here.
