Joline Jolink slips in a new design to her collection of sustainable footwear

The Rotterdam-based fashion designer Joline Jolink successfully launched her first vegan trainers in 2019.  Next came biodegradable trainers and trainers and boots made of apple leather. Now she adds a summer slipper made of grape leather to her collection of sustainable footwear.

The designer develops, produces and launches collections at her own rhythm and on her own terms. The focus of her brand is entirely on
sustainability. She makes no seasonal collections and has a strict policy regarding production numbers, so no surpluses are created. Het thoughtful designs transcend trends and are always made of organic, recycled and high-quality materials.

The new slippers were made in a limited edition in Portugal from black grape leather with a foam sole made of natural rubber. This makes the Slide slippers largely composed of renewable and recycled plant-based materials, so 100% vegan.

Joline Jolink: ‘The Slide slipper is cool and chunky, designed to add a touch of humour to your outfit. Grape leather is made from waste streams from the wine industry. It is a nice alternative to materials made entirely from fossil resources or animal skins.”

The slippers are available online and at her shop at the Nieuwe Binnenweg.
