De Beren opens in Alexandrium

De Beren opens third restaurant in Alexandrium Shopping Center

De Beren has grown into a highly professional company with ambitions that even transcend national borders. “But expanding, especially in our own city, is still very special,” says Ad Schaap on the occasion of opening the 46th restaurant at Alexandrium Shopping Centre Rotterdam.

De Beren is not deterred by the global pandemic. It has opened no less than six new restaurants and delivery outlets in the Netherlands in the past two months. The new shop in Alexandrium at the Poolsterplein has two floors. The top floor has space for a children’s play area. There is a large central bar and a charcoal grill to prepare the famous De Beren dishes. The restaurant can seat 225 guests.

To make the introduction to the Alexandrium extra festive, guests visiting the restaurant between 14 and 30 December can win a year’s free dining. When visiting the restaurant, they can leave their details and one lucky winner will be chosen to enjoy a free three-course meal every two months.

New look for De Beren

The fourth restaurant in Rotterdam is also on the way. The prestigious Markthal on Blaak is the next location De Beren will conquer. This branch will open in early 2022.

Recently De Beren presented a new look. The well-known yellow disappears and is replaced by shades of petrol and brass. “The company has become more mature in this respect too,” says marketing manager Marjolein Mens. “The little bear as we know him has been given a more contemporary look, but still radiates our atmosphere and warmth”.
