S1mba, Henkie T and Cor Get Loose

Get Loose is a festival by Productiehuis FLOW, dedicated to hiphop. After several editions at the Afrikaanderplein the fift edition of the festival now takes place at Onderzeebootloods on September 10.

On the line-up is the up and coming S1mba from England. He is known for his hit: ‘Rover’, He will be flown in from the UK for his first performance in the Netherlands. Next to this international star there are a lot of Dutch artists present like Henkie T, Lijpe and Yssie Sb. Of course several local names are also performing on the main stage like Cor, Boys in de Hood (with Hef and Crooks) and DJ Superior.

Get Loose wants to serve as a springboard to the big festivals. This year acts like Ruwhel, Badboygoodvibes, Spacestation, Hunna & Geel are therefore on the line up. The goal is to preserve hiphop culture and to provide an outlet for the visitors.

The Couch, a local clubnight, hosts its own area at Get Loose. With the likes of Sammie Sedano, Zoe Janice and Nems. The third stage is called Schuurbos. Here you can find Pyron and Zouflebouf among others.

Get Loose was conceived because Rotterdam Zuid and hiphop had a bad image apart from each other. If the media were to be believed, it was not safe to walk down the streets in the South side of town. This was unacceptable so Get Loose decided to organise a festival at the Afrikaanderplein. In the middle of the deprived area.
