Rotterdam Street Culture Week is packed with movements

Rotterdam is without a doubt the street culture city of the Netherlands. During the fifth edition of Rotterdam Street Culture Week, various organizations fill the city with street art, hip-hop, and street sports.

All Caps will be the most prominent fixture as it’s entirely devoted to graffiti. Feijenoord in the south side of Rotterdam will be transformed into an open-air museum. Full of murals and without an entrance fee or closing time. Local artists like Eveline Schram, Reinier Landwehr, Jelmer Noordeman and Franky Sticks create murals in the Feijenoord-neighbourhood together with international talent.

A Festival Downtown will also be incorporated from now on. It offers shows by Kevin & The Animals, Jonna Fraser & The Lions and ADF Samski next to the Erasmusbridge. Other acts play venues like Worm, Eendrachtsplein and Rotown.

The other party’s involved in the event, like HipHopHuis and Rotterdam Topsport, offer dance, theatre, beatboxing, music and sports. It takes place from September 3 until September 11.
