A splash of Aperol Spritz at the terrace of Hotel New York

The terrace of Hotel New York is transformed by Aperol Spritz

It is one of the best spots to enjoy Rotterdam completely. From the terrace of Hotel New York on the edge of the Kop van Zuid you have a perfect 360° view. The backyard terrace is now covered in orange as Aperol Spritz choose the garden as its flagship for the city.

Aperol Spritz has provided the terrace with their most characteristic ingredient: the orange. Orange trees, orange slices and a large lounge sofa have been placed and the container bar has also undergone a metamorphosis. According to Hotel New York the popular drink symbolizes a relaxed summer and that fits in extremely well. The terrace will be the spot for events all summer. Hotel New York will organise fun events like concerts, dj’s, bingo and BBQ’s to celebrate summer.

Guests can post their summery Aperol Spritz photo on Hotel New York’s terrace on Instagram with the #HNYAperolBackyard. The most beautiful photos will be rewarded with a nice prize every week.

Door of opportunities

The terrace is open until the end of August. Every day from 2 PM you can sit on the lovely lounge sofa or at one of the picnic tables and indulge yourself with beautiful views on the vibrant Maas-river, Katendrecht, Euromast, Veerhaven, Kop van Zuid, the city and a new big piece of art: L’Age d’Or by British artist Gavin Turk.

This work of art represents an open door of 3.5 metres high. It symbolises hope, dreams and opportunities as a door that is always open. It’s located next to the terrace, directly opposite the future FENIX Museum of Migration.
