Eurovision finalist S10 will be present at Roze Zaterdag

It was already announced Duncan Laurence, a former winner of the Eurovision Song Contest would play Roze Zaterdag (Pink Saturday) at the Coolsingel. But S10, the Dutch entry and current finalist of the Eurovision Song Contest, will take the stage.

The free of entry Pink Saturday will take place on Saturday 18 June, during Rotterdam Pride from June 17 to June 26. Roze Zaterdag is the oldest Queer event in The Netherlands with an activist character. Next to Duncan Laurence and S10, there are also concerts by Jaïr and his father Glen Faria, Babs, and Lionstorm. There are DJ-sets by Willie Wartaal & Doppelgang, Covergirl Sunny and Shug La Sheedah.

RuPaul’s Drag Race finalist Ma’ma Queen, Typhoon Angels and Pride Ambassador Megan Schoonbrood give performances. Star choreographer Virgil Moreno directs dancers from the club circuit and the Albeda College. The host of the entire day is the Rotterdam Drag Queen GiGi.

Pride Conference in the Kunsthal

With speakers such as Josh Cavallo, Lotte van Eijk and Rotterdam mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb, the Pride Conference is the substantive program of Rotterdam Pride. Guests and the public engage in a dialogue about contemporary issues within the LGBTQIA+ community in the Netherlands and worldwide. Visitors can participate in various panel discussions and lectures. Topics like trans health care, homosexuality in professional football, mental health are discussed. Mayor Ahmed Aboutaleb is present during a program about How Rotterdam can be an inclusive city for all.

Apart from a performance on Pink Saturday, Glen & Jair Faria will also open their hearts during the Pride Conference on Friday, June 24 in the segment: “Daddy, can I talk to you for a minute?”. Father and son are guests in a Q&A where they talk about being bi and gay, the relationship between a father and son, and the healing power and shared love for music.
