Restobar Amore celebrates love for festive eating and drinking

On Friday 17 June, Kim Pieters and Kelly Vincent, known from Weelde, will open their first permanent restobar on the Tiendplein. Everyone is welcome at the festive opening weekend of Amore. For uncomplicated but good food, many drinks to taste and especially some exciting other things.

To celebrate the opening night of the new hotspot DJ OG Karin and a secret performance are on the line-up. The doors open at 15:00. After that, Restobar Amore will be open every Wednesday, Thursday, and Sunday from 15:00 to 0:00 and Friday and Saturday from 15:00 to 02:00. Amore will serve snacks, aperitifs, and other dishes to share. You can also taste various natural wines, cocktails, sake, and other spirits.

Menu of Restobar Amore

The menu is composed by chef Sybren (known for Bambino, among others). The ingredients are mainly from Dutch soil with some Mediterranean influences. “We want a festive way of eating: long tables, dishes to share, and plenty of bottles of wine on the table,” says Sybren. The dishes are uncomplicated. What is on your plate should be recognizable. Sybren explains: “That means that you have to work with very good products, which are already very tasty by themselves. If a dish consists only of tomato, fried basil, breadcrumbs, and a dressing, it will only taste good if the tomato is already delicious. Or, if a dish consists of one product with a sauce, then that sauce has to be incredibly tasty.”

As for drinks, Restobar Amore will focus on good natural wines, cocktails, but also sake. “We want you to be challenged to taste beautiful dishes and drinks,” says Kim. Enjoyment, celebrating life, and taking time is key here. “We are really looking forward to welcoming everyone.”
