Reggae Rotterdam Festival presents Lauryn Hill and Sean Paul in Ahoy

The fifth edition of Reggae Rotterdam Festival will take place in Ahoy. After several editions in the Kralingse Bos the festival goes southwards. On July 29 the festival presents an impressive line-up with Sean Paul, Stefflon Don, Beenie Man and Lauryn Hill among others.

The reggae festival will use the inside and outside parts of Ahoy, with several stages that are filled with reggae and derived music styles like roots, dancehall, dub, reggaeton, moombathon, bubbling and loversrock.

Lauryn Hill will perfrom in honor of the 25th anniversary of her groundbreaking album ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ which contains legendary hits like ‘Doo Wop (That Thing)’ and ‘Everything is Everything’ but off course she is also known for The Fugees and other ‘Turn Your Lights Down Low’ (with Bob Marley). Her music embraces genres such as hip-hop, soul, reggae and R&B and she has captured millions of fans worldwide.

Her timeless masterpiece ‘The Miseducation of Lauryn Hill’ from 1998 earned her multiple Grammy Awards, including Album of the Year. It’s her only show in Europe this year.

The organization has previously announced concerts by Sean Paul, Stefflon Don, Beenie Man, Tarrus Riley, Sister Nancy and Horace Andy. Don Carlos, Anthony B, Trafassi, Mad Professor, DJ Moortje, K-liber and Stylo G will also be present. In addition, Julian Marley, son of Bob Marley, will perform a special tribute show with The Wailers.

Reggae Rotterdam will take place on Saturday, July 29 from 13:00 to 23:00 in Ahoy Rotterdam. The
festival is free for children up to 12 years old. Tickets are available at www.reggaefestival.nl.
