MOMO Fabrique is a festival in the form of a discovery route through the raw Rotterdam harbour area. On 4 and 5 September 2021 Froukje and Amenti Theatre Company will play and the public will discover inspiring new hotspots in the making.
Motel Mozaïque organises the MOMO Fabrique Festival once again this year. Participants will be treated to performances by alternative pop star Froukje and Gil The Grid’s Amenti Theatre Company, among others, at various locations. In addition, BIT/BITTER and OASE present their own programme during the route. Ticket sales have started immediately.
The festival on Saturday 4 and Sunday 5 September is divided into 3 routes that lead past all performances in 5 hours time. The starting times are on both days 12:00, 14:00 and 16:00 and the starting point of the routes is De Huidenclub in Rotterdam.
During the routes, participants will also discover inspiring new hotspots in the making in the raw city harbour area like BIT/BITTER and the halls at the Schiehaven (former shipyard De Delft).
Tickets for a MOMO Fabrique route on 4 or 5 September cost 20 euro (inc. service costs) or 57 euro including a delicious vegetarian 3-course dinner at BITTER.
Red Carpet concert with Froukje
One day earlier, on Friday 3 September, MOMO will be rolling out the red carpet for Froukje together with Parfum de BoemBoem. The singer will be giving a one-off performance in De Huidenclub, where fans will be able to get really close.
De Huidenclub is a new experimental platform for contemporary culture located in a repurposed tannery. The new workspace in Rotterdam bringing together artists, designers, and thinkers to form an inclusive creative ecosystem alongside an active public programme. Taking a holistic approach, the Huidenclub provides opportunities to further the careers of its residents while giving them opportunities to collaborate and connect. Situated in a repurposed tannery, this historic space includes studios and co-working desks, in addition to a range of production facilities. Biannual themes addressing urgent contemporary themes will invite residents and guests to take part in a programme of exhibitions, performances, talks, and screenings open to the broader public.
After Spinvis and Ntjam Rosie, Froukje is the third artist to walk the red carpet of Parfum de BoemBoem. At these concerts, the meeting between musicians and music lovers is central. There are 10 people standing around a red carpet on which the artist stands, and there is also room for 30 people around it.
Froukje (Froukje Veenstra) lives in Rotterdam, where she studies Songwriting at Codarts Conservatory. She has established herself as one of the new promises of Dutch alternative pop. She is known for touching on relevant existential themes and is full of intriguing vocal lines, brought with a natural nonchalance but also a sharp and skilful talent for melody.
