Floating Cinema in Maritime District

Rotterdam’s nautical roots are strong in the Maritime District. The inner harbor was bustling with port activity a hundred years ago but now is The Red Apple Marina. Saturday, September 10, the second edition of Floating Cinema takes place.

From 7 PM Life of Pi by Ang Lee is shown in the heart of the Maritime District. It’s possible to come by your own boat and watch from the water. But it’s also possible to reserve a place on the quay in a tent. Or book a spot in one of the boats to be part of this second edition of this cinematic event.

In total there are 30 seats for boats of 3 to 12 meters. Smaller boats are free. There are 200 covered seats on the quay at the Wijnhaven-side, including a bag of M&Ms and a drink. Or 100 seats on boats in the harbor. This deal also includes M&Ms and a drink. The treats can be picked up at the Ibis Hotel or Bar Blink.

Tickets for Floating Cinema can be bought here.
