DoDo introduces new menu

Restaurant DoDo opened its doors in 2019 and has been a popular spot ever since. During the Love Birds after summer event the new menu was introduced.

Although the hotspot did win the Entree Award for Best New All Day concept in 2021, DoDo continues to develop continuously. Rotterdam-based Christiaan van der Steen is the new chef. He has given his own twist to the menu and created delicious new dishes. What has not changed is the focus on international cuisine. With dishes from the Mediterranean coast to the Middle East and Asia.

There are unusual flavor combinations such as the Bao Bao Heaven with crunchy chicken. The Summer Crush with fresh tuna, watermelon and fried banana. Or the Sticky DoDo with sticky rice, coconut passion fruit ice cream and mango mousse.

Christiaan continues to challenge himself and his team to come up with extraordinary creations every time. “Having gained experience in a variety of businesses and kitchens, I knew immediately upon entering that I was in the right place at DoDo to express my passion. The joy and bliss that the kitchen can bring to its guests is one of the most important factors of the hospitality industry, and as a chef, you have the freedom to create it. With a fun, diverse and energetic team, I am happy to be part of Dodo and parade challenging dishes the passage of DoDo.”

Owner Tan Do, who next to DoDo also runs two locations of Little V, himself describes the atmosphere at his place as, “We have created unique corners with different atmospheres, colors and furnishings. You see old details, bookshelves, tiles, sofas, armchairs, posters, mirrors and more everywhere. My business, like Rotterdam, is never finished. I’m always looking for opportunities to improve our offerings. Nothing stands still, not time, not the city and neither do we people.”
