DODO wins Entree Award

Tres, Zalmhuis and Dodo win Entree Awards 2021

There were many local concepts contending for the Entree Awards this year. But three restaurants in Rotterdam actually won a Entree Award: Tres, Zalmhuis and Dodo.

The Entree Awards are organized by hospitality platform Entree. They are an important indicator of developments in the hospitality industry and are therefore also referred to as the Oscars of the hospitality industry. Entree lets a jury, consisting of eighteen specialists including designers, entrepreneurs, concept developers and trend watchers, visit the nominees.

In the category ‘Best New All Day Concept’ the jury declared Dodo the winner. The jury was very impressed with the interior design. Owner Tan Do surprises with seven atmospheres in seven rooms.

Tres in Rotterdam has been declared the winner in the category ‘Best New Dining Experience’ of the Entree Awards 2021. The jury knew it within five minutes: “This is going to be a very special evening and that feeling will last until you step outside again. This place really stands out because the concept has been executed down to the last detail.”

In the category ‘Best New Restaurant & Bar’, Zalmhuis is the winner. The jury has rarely seen an establishment where the branding was so well worked out and so successful as here. “Every square millimeter has been designed as it should be. Everything is an experience.”

“The winners clearly show that the Dutch hospitality industry has not been sitting still despite two difficult years,” says Iris Kranenburg, jury president and editor-in-chief of Entree. “What’s more, with innovative concepts, unusual designs, excellent service, high-quality food & drinks, this sector is still the hospitality industry’s calling card and an example for many entrepreneurs in and outside the hospitality industry!”
