The annual Construction Day is the open day of the Dutch construction sector. It’s an excellent opportunity to see what is needed to build houses, roads, hospitals, stadiums and other buildings and infrastructure.

In Rotterdam you can visit Overhoeks and Havenkwartier. The construction site of the new highway A16 is also accessible during Dag van de Bouw. In total, about 150 interesting projects can be visited nationwide: new construction and renovation projects, but also civil engineering and much more. Visitors not only see how far the project has progressed, but also learn everything about how construction works. Of course, a lot of manual work is still done by real professionals.
