On April 25, Mangal Döner X Lukas Podolski10 will open its first international branch in the Netherlands, in the Alexandrium Shopping Center – on Schorpioenstraat 260 in Rotterdam. With this milestone, the successful German gastronomy concept enters the Dutch market and immediately chooses one of the most dynamic cities in the country.
Lukas Podolski, one of the world’s most popular football players and also a döner expert for many years, developed the concept together with entrepreneur Metin Dag. He shares his expertise with all franchisees and employees. Not with the intention of reinventing the döner every time, but according to his motto: “We don’t make everything different, only better.”
The host at the new restaurant in Rotterdam is Bahadir Tasören. The experienced entrepreneur knows the hospitality market inside and out and explains: “Doner is one of the most popular meals in Germany and now we serve it authentically and uniquely in the Netherlands. With us, guests find exactly what they expect from a real doner: a freshly prepared meal made from high-quality ingredients – in short, a quality doner from a true legend.”
In the new restaurant, with a surface area of 120 m² and 44 seats, relaxed enjoyment is central. The sleek, warm and stylish interior invites you to hang around for a while, while approximately fourteen employees prepare all dishes fresh with home-made bread, tender meat, crispy salad and Podolski’s special herb mix.
