Vlaamsch BroodhuysΒ (Meent)
Opened in 2010, this Bakerβs CafΓ© was the companyβs first Rotterdam-based shop. At the time, it had a pioneering role for the improvement of the street: where these cosy bakeries are usually located in neighbourhoods with an intimate ambiance, the Meent was still full of offices and employment agencies at the time β not really βcosyβ. Starting from day one, the bakery welcomed long queues of bread lovers. Vlaamsch Broodhuys contributed to a positive change: now, the Meent is a vibrant street full of interesting shops, comfy cafΓ©s and trendy restaurants.
