Vlaamsch Broodhuys

Vlaamsch Broodhuys is a popular bakery franchise that knows how to make bread: high quality ingredients, a passion for food and years of experience ensure that. Dutch-Flemish baker Dimitri Roels, who began to bake tasteful sourdough bread in 1996, started the company, which now has baker shops all over The Netherlands

Vlaamsch Broodhuys (Nieuwe Binnenweg)
When you walk over Nieuwe Binnenweg, this baker shop invites you in with its delicious smells. The corner building has large windows and a big terrace, so whether you order some nice slices of sourdough bread with a fresh salad or a bowl of bio yoghurt with fresh fruits, you’ll always find a cozy place to sit.

Vlaamsch Broodhuys (Meent)
Opened in 2010, this Baker’s Café was the company’s first Rotterdam-based shop. At the time, it had a pioneering role for the improvement of the street: where these cosy bakeries are usually located in neighbourhoods with an intimate ambiance, the Meent was still full of offices and employment agencies at the time – not really ‘cosy’. Starting from day one, the bakery welcomed long queues of bread lovers. Vlaamsch Broodhuys contributed to a positive change: now, the Meent is a vibrant street full of interesting shops, comfy cafés and trendy restaurants.

Psst! Have you already tried Vlaamsch Broodhuys’ new dishes on their menu? How about the smoked salmon, spicy horseradish sauce, pink peppers, lime zest and scrambled eggs! Served with their delicious bread … The perfect way to start your day!
