VERY SPECIAL LITERARY DEBUT

VERDI PRATI. Drie verhalen

Rotterdam writer Harry van den Bouwhuijsen, aged 75, brings his literary debut “VERDI PRATI. Drie Verhalen” [Three Stories].

At a young age, Harry already wrote texts for the radio and published some of his poems. Harry studied cultural anthropology and worked in the field of science. He taught history until his retirement and is an avid reader. Since his retirement, Harry has been writing, finally making room for his literary ambitions, which has resulted in his literary debut this year! Three surrealistic stories with a horrible ending. The name, Verdi Prati, refers to an aria from an opera by Handl. This aria plays a major role in the second story. Harry surprises the reader with many references to well-known literature. The book is a must-have for lovers of surrealistic stories, written by names such as Belcampo, W.F. Hermans and Harry Mulisch.

The book is available at Donner, among other shops
