At a young age, Harry already wrote texts for the radio and published some of his poems. Harry studied cultural anthropology and worked in the field of science. He taught history until his retirement and is an avid reader. The name, Verdi Prati, refers to an aria from an opera by Handl. This aria plays a major role in the second story. Harry surprises the reader with many references to well-known literature.
