The Commons

A brand new restaurant catering to students has opened at the Student Hotel in Rotterdam-Kralingen, called The Commons drinks & food. For affordable prices (the most expensive dish is €12), you can eat hearty dishes like pizzas and burgers, but also small snacks such as calamari and the Scandinavian-style fish jar (different types of fish in a jar with citrus yogurt and brown bread). Recommended are the special bitterbals that are made according to their own recipe, including one with meat and beer, and one with serrano ham. Sounds delicious, right? Sit down at a table, at the long concrete bar or on a comfortable lounge sofa with a nice cold beer, cocktail or wine. The Commons is not exclusively for students, but accessible to everyone.

Location: Willem Ruyslaan 225 te Rotterdam

Opening hours: Sunday to Wednesday, 7am-midnight; Thursday to Saturday, 7am-1am.
