Ketels aan de kade, a taste of history

A taste of history

Ketels aan de Kade

Historical Delfshaven flourishes during “Ketels aan de Kade” [Kettles on the quay].

Visitors can imagine themselves in times long gone, with historical scenes in the natural backdrop of the area. The location is the most picturesque part of the city in Delfshaven. The Dutch Herring trade once flourished here, where goods were eventually taken to the market in Delft. Later, the gin industry boomed in Delfshaven, at the location where nowadays you’ll find a city brewery. The festival focuses primarily on historical food as it was in Rotterdam between 1400-1900.

19-21 July, Delfshaven
