Sleep in a floating house

This tiny floating house is an initiative of the residents of the Red Apple Marina, a small harbour in the city centre. The house is built of cardboard and is completely sustainable. It’s a good example of Dutch design: it was entirely produced in Amsterdam. Since its opening last summer, it is now used as an event location, community hub and as a small bed and breakfast for four people. You can book it through Airbnb. The interior consists of moveable furniture, two double Murphy beds and a small terrace looking out over the water. [Photo: Danny Havelaar]
