Seabass

Seabass now has a brandstore in hometown Rotterdam

When vacationing Kayleigh and Barry van Ruiven saw their 2-year-old son Bass turn red in the sun. They decided to buy the little boy a UV shirt with the highest UPF. But a fashionable or elegant UV shirt was nowhere to find. They decided to create their own brand: Seabass.

They make shirts with the highest UPF, suitable for swimming, light and comfortable to wear, fashionable and elegant in polo style. That the collection should be sustainable, was a given fact. The fashion is created with sustainable materials like recycled plastic bottles out of the ocean. The brand for the recycled polyester yarn used is Seaqual, a unique collaborative community fighting plastic pollution.

Seabass is a family-owned company. Kayleigh and Barry manage Seabass. Mandy de Roode is the designer, providing all the handmade unique prints and designs of the collections. the swimwear collection has expanded with loungewear and outerwear.

The headquarter is located in the heart of Rotterdam and now they have their own brandstore at Korte Hoogstraat 19. The next step is to bring Seabass to the next level. To increase brand awareness, to grow distribution and to keep developing new collections.
