Ochama

Ochama, a retail format by JD.com, comes to Rotterdam

Online hypermarket Ochama (owned by Chinese internet giant JD.com) will open a new store in Rotterdam on January 10th. The physical shop can be found at Big Shops at the Vierhavenstraat.

Not to long ago Maxaro already opened a showroom at shopping boulevard Big Shops. Maxaro is an up-and-coming retailer for everything for the bathroom. Key Music is also new on the shopping strip.

What is Ochama?

The retailer intends to offer just about everything a person might need: clothing, food, home accessories, electronics, hygiene products, and toys. All products can be ordered through the webshop or app, and then picked up the same day at the location or be delivered at home at a later time.

It’s possible to reserve a spot to access the webshop now as it’s a members-only concept. On every purchase members collect 10% as a free shopping credit, to spend in the entire range. Purchases can be returned free of charge. Normally a membership cost €10 per year, but it is completely free now to introduce Ochama. In addition, early bird-members will get a €15 free shopping credit.

Next to Rotterdam, there will also be locations in Diemen, Utrecht and Leiden.
