Trompenburg is a beautiful historical botanical garden in the district of Kralingen. To teach children more about all plants and animals they can now become part of the nature club Trompse Vossen.
Maaike is the daughter of former owners of Trompenburg. Together with her friends, she founded a nature club: Trompse Vossen club. They explored the garden and had their own hidden clubhouse. It now is the inspiration for a new activity in Trompenburg. Through treasure hunts, fun assignments and educational tasks kids can enjoy the garden just like they did. Maybe they can also become members of the club which grants admission to the secret clubhouse. At the same time, the children learn about all the beautiful things nature has to offer during this Explorer’s Trail.
Spring festival
Sunday, March 20 is the first official day of Spring. It is celebrated with a Spring Festival for children. The theme of the festival is: Growing and blooming. There is a puppet theatre with a funny performance. Kids can go on a trip with a beekeeper to learn more about the bees. Of course there will be plenty of delicious food as a taste crepe and drinks from food trucks.
