MONO

Since its takeover in March, the new MONO has been both a continuation of the old and an expansion into the new. Home to Rotterdam’s society-critical thinkers and makers, there is now a context programme of exhibitions and talks as well as the guaranteed free parties on Friday and Saturday that are characteristic to MONO (except for those events continuing until 4 AM). Perhaps its more socially and politically aware approach to nightlife labels it as an alternative underground venue. The urban/metropolitan vibe of the city definitely resonates here through the eclectic mix of art and parties that navigate youth and counter-culture. Go there on Saturday nights for the family dinner, with weekly changing culinary wonders, to eat, drink and then dance the night away.
