More gin in the distillers district

Jenever museum Rotterdam

Because of its rich history with jenever, also known as Dutch Gin, Schiedam is quite rightly named the ‘gin capital of the world’. Nowadays, the city is increasingly called ‘Distillers District’, because of the many gin-distilleries that have recently (re-)opened. The National Jenever museum is located in a former malt wine distillery. Visitors can now learn about gins in a more modern way by smelling the spicy scents, learning about the best cocktails and see the development of the drink through the years.
