De Likt at Eendracht Festival by Niek Hage

Eendracht Festival showcases the coolest up-and-coming acts from Rotterdam

On Thursday July 21 Eendracht Festival will once again present local talent from all different scenes. The last time, during a successful anniversary edition in 2019, there were more than 140 acts at 19 different locations. Local artists can apply for a spot on one of the stages until May 29.

Musicians, poets, visual artists, or other creative acts can apply at www.eendrachtfestival.nl.  The festival selects the most promising acts from Rotterdam in collaboration with the Eendracht Festival hosts. These acts can showcase themselves at a suitable location in the city center of Rotterdam.

Rotterdam music acts such as De Likt, Froukje, Iguana Death Cult, Gita Buhari, Moody Mehran, and Jaskelis all played at the festival. But also street-art creators such as Telmo Miel showed themselves.

History of Eendracht Festival

Eendracht Festival was founded because there was not one single stage in the city where Rotterdam artists could go. De Nieuwe Lichting (the organisation behind the event) sees a necessity in bringing together the different scenes in Rotterdam. The concept in 2022 will look a bit different than before, but more about that will follow soon.
