Diego’s Burgers can be considered as one of the best suppliers of burgers in Rotterdam. The creations of chef Diego Buik are internationally renowned. He now also presents Sweet ‘n Salty, the ultimate French Toast Pop-up!
The next two Sundays (December 12th and 19th) the new and unforgettable delicious lunch/brunch concept Sweet ‘n Salty is opened at his restaurant under the Luxor Theater on the Kop van Zuid. One can enjoy the most epic French Toast experience. Reservations can now be made at the website of Diego’s Burgers! There are only a few spots available due to the Covid-19 measures.
In the Netherlands, we are all familiar with French toast, it’s called: Wentelteefjes. But the crew of Diego’s Burgers have created new specials. With both sweet and savoury creations, or a combination of those two.
Of course, as always, quality comes first. The French Toasts are made with fresh brioche bread and with the most amazing ingredients. For example, there is a S’mores French Toast with marshmallows, whole wheat biscuits and chocolate sauce. The Chilli Cheese Cheetos are served with grated cheese, Flaming Hot Cheetos and warm Cheddar Cheese Sauce, which is poured over the French Toast at the table.
More than burgers
Diego Buik is a true master of the burger. His creations have been awarded several times and he once made the most expensive burger in the World with gold leaf, caviar and lobster. He is a real entrepreneur operating two restaurants (also one in Scheveningen) and introducing new concepts, also during Covid-19. In his webshop he offers Build It Yourself boxes and he collaborates with Albert Heijn, making his burger available in the super market.
Together with The James Hotel he also once again presents The DIEGO’S Hotel. During a One-night stay, guests are pampered with a glass of bubbles, some sweets, a fully stocked minibar by Coca-Cola and Bacardi, a late-night snack, and Netflix is set to the best food movies. The in-room dinner will of course be an exclusive Diego’s x The James Golden Burger with a delicious dessert and a bottle of wine or Heineken! Next morning there is breakfast at The James foodmarket and a late check-out (1:00 PM). The exclusive package is available from 9 December to 9 January and can be booked here.
