Daily at Donner sells groceries at famous bookstore

On the ground floor of Donner, the book mecca on the Coolsingel, you will find a mini-market with fresh products from local entrepreneurs. Daily at Donner offers pastry from Holtkamp, cheese from the Kaashoeve, and bread from Jordy’s Bakery. The coffee from Man Met Bril Koffie is available to go or per bag of beans.

At Daily at Donner, you furthermore find bouquets from the famous Rotterdam flower shop ‘s Zomers. Dairy products are supplied by Floating Farm. De Bonte Koe enriches the range with delicious chocolate. Van Heinde en Verre imports cocoa beans themselves and makes special chocolate from them. Wine importer and trader Theo Bontenbal select the best wines. Sancho sells delicious canned peanuts and nuts. Tomasu Soy Sauce is the only small batch micro-brewed soy sauce in Europe.

The initiative in which local products play the leading role also benefits a shorter food chain. This not only leads to tastier, fresher, and better food. But also to a sustainable concept. Owner Pim Bottema: ”At Daily at Donner we can purchase from the local producers themselves. This way we don’t have to waste and throw away as few products as possible.”

The entrance of Daily at Donner is at the side of the bookstore, at the Binnenwegplein, where there is also a small terrace.
