Duncan Laurence, Jett Rebel and $hirak play Bevrijdingsfestival

Liberation Day (or Bevrijdingsdag) is a public holiday in the Netherlands celebrated each year on May 5 to mark the end of the occupation by Nazi Germany during World War II. In Rotterdam and several other cities, the Bevrijdingsfestival commemorates this. 

During this festival, there are performances by big names and activities to educate and explain. Every year several artists are an ambassador and play more festivals in one day. They are flown around with Helicopters of the Royal Air Force. This year Donnie, Fresku, Susan & Freek and Duncan Laurence are invited. Duncan Laurence will play the Bevrijdingsfestval of Rotterdam, a special place as he grew up near Rotterdam and studied here.

Other artists that will play the two stages of Bevrijdingsfestival are Nona, Jett Rebel,  MY BABY and Jahma, Of course, there are some local heroes performing like ADF Samski, Het Gezelschap, Paul Elstak and $HIRAK.

The event takes place in the Park next to the Euromast. Bevrijdingsfestival starts at 12.30 PM and the entrance is free.
