Jenever Museum Schiedam

All about jenever

Ever wondered about the origins of the famous gin and tonic cocktail? Head on down to the Jenever Museum in Schiedam, because that’s where its foundations were laid. Immerse yourself in the world of this classic Dutch drink, learn how it is brewed and look for the secret recipe in the Jenever escape room. Never tasted it before? Take part in a tasting session (R18) and discover why so many people (in Holland anyway) refer to this clear liquid as an angel peeing on your tongue! You can watch the distillers at work on Tuesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.

Gin Museum and Branderij De Gekroonde Brandersketel:

Lange Haven 74, Schiedam.

Open: Tues-Sun 11.00 – 17.00.
