Marianne Splint will be the new director of Kunsthal Rotterdam. She will be responsible for the instituteβs strategic and artistic course. She will closely collaborate with business director Herman van Karnebeek.Β Β
Since 2012, Marianne Splint (1982) has been director of Museum Helmond, which consists of Helmond Castle and Kunsthal Helmond. There Splint realised significant growth β not only in an organisational and financial sense but also regarding public outreach. Under her leadership, this municipal museum was able to evolve into a more independent and distinctive institute situated at the heart of society. With a background in visual art, art history, and general cultural studies, Splint has also been a board member of the trade association Museumvereniging (Museum Association) since 2018.
