The small-scale park in front of the Laurenskerk will be transformed into a cozy wine festival. The Wijn Festijn takes place on June 24 and 25 and offers over 100 different wines and tasty treats. There is live music and visitors can play Boules.
The traveling festival brings together wine lovers and bon vivants from all over Rotterdam. Local wine and food entrepreneurs will provide visitors with a delicious taste experience. The festival tries to create a Burgundian setting where enjoyment is central.
This summer Wijn Festijn will be organized at 7 locations throughout the Netherlands. After the first edition in Nijmegen, Rotterdam is the second city the festival will visit this season. The city park Grotekerkplein near the Laurenskerk is one of the newest parks in Rotterdam.
People of all ages are welcome at the Wijn Festijn. Besides wine and beer, non-alcoholic and soft drinks are also available. Visitors can buy tickets at the door the day itself, but there is also an online presale through the website of Het Wijn Festijn. Tickets cost € 7.50 and are available now. Upon entrance everybody receives a glass of Cava.
