It feels quite Swedish at the newest Volvo Studio Meent in Rotterdam. The renowned brand has opened a studio where visitors experience Volvo and electrification.
It’s located almost next to the Polestar space, a standalone Swedish premium electric vehicle manufacturer founded by Volvo Cars and Geely Holding. Another car brand showing itself in the city is Cupra. First, they occupied a space on the Karel Doormanstraat. It now manages a CUPRA City Garage.
It’s an international trend. More and more carmakers present themselves in the city. Mobility Centre already has locations in Vlaardingen and Barendrecht but a showroom downtown in a popular shopping street attracts new audiences. In a casual way, the visitors get information about electric driving, charging, range and all other aspects of electrification. There is an interactive car configurator where the customer can put together a new Volvo. The product experts can tell you about current models like the Volvo V60 Recharge plug-in hybrid and the future Recharge model range of Volvo.
Fika at Volvo Studio Meent
During the day customers can even enjoy a Fika in the beautiful studio served by Volvo. Fika is often considered a coffee and cake break. But really it is much more. It’s an attitude and an important part of Swedish culture. Many Swedes consider that it is almost essential to make time for Fika every day. It means making time for friends, colleagues, and clients to share a cup of coffee (or tea) and a little something to eat.
