Rotterdam city center transforms into a summer street theater
The Rotterdam Koopgoot will kick off the summer vacation spectacularly with the 7th edition of Theater de Koopgoot. Every Saturday from July 20 to Sunday, August 18, the famous shopping arcade is all about entertaining street theater for young and old. Shopping makes way for a promising theater program with acts by creative balloon artists, acrobats, and waders. Admission is free and the event is accessible to everyone.
After the lovey reactions to the previous six editions, Theater de Koopgoot promises to be a special event again this year. It offers a varied theater program; from balloon and cotton candy art to tuning runs and stunts on a unicycle. Dutch champion magician, Jofri Boekschoten, kicks off the theater program with his four-meter friend White Man. Acts such as the Tall Tale Acrobatics and Strong (wo)man show are back again this year at popular request. For fans there is even a nice surprise act on the program: the interactive 3D Pacman.
