In 2007 Takumi Ramen was founded in Dusseldorf. Since then the Japan Soul Food restaurant quickly branched out and has opened two restaurants in Rotterdam. At the West-Kruiskade and the Markthal. They also operate Sapporo at the Aert van Nesstraat.
To celebrate Takumi’s 15th anniversary and to show gratitude to loyal Takumi fans, several celebratory events take place in 2022. In several cities, Takumi releases a limited edition clothing collection. The first release is on the West-Kruiskade in Rotterdam on April 30. It’s a special collaboration with Woei.
Visitors will have the chance to be the first to see and get hold of the t-shirts and the hoodie. The first 150 guests get a goodie bag. Takumi is also launching limited-edition ramen and is organizing a spicy ramen challenge. During this challenge, participants are challenged to eat extra spicy ramen. The winner gets a year of free ramen.
After this first edition of the live event, Takumi will travel on to Antwerp, Barcelona, and Düsseldorf this year. Throughout the year, fans can participate in a raffle, where participants can win quarterly trips to Barcelona, Milan, Amsterdam, and, a 5-day trip to Japan. To have an extra chance to win a trip to Japan, Takumi launches a ‘Create your own ramen challenge’, where participants create their own ramen recipe with the Nissin Takumi cup noodles. The winning recipe will be on the menu as a special in selected Takumi restaurants for one month!
History of Takumi Ramen
In 1995, Mr. Saeki and Mr. Okada worked together in Amsterdam, where they dreamed of opening a Ramen restaurant in Europe. After parting ways, they found their way back to each other to make this dream come true. Takumi offers an authentic taste experience. They only use imported original products, such as the spices and the noodles, directly from Japan.
