Matcha Parfait Shin Rotterdam 2

SHIN Rotterdam will officially open its doors on July 8

Entrepreneurs Tony and Nanako, who already own the popular Japanese ramen restaurant Ajisan on the Coolsingel, open SHIN Rotterdam. The new Japanese tapas bar and matcha café is located at the Rodezand in Rotterdam.

From July 8, SHIN Rotterdam will be officially open to the public. Everyone is welcome to visit without a reservation. The opening hours of the kitchen are Monday, Tuesday and Thursday from 12 PM tot 9 PM and Friday and Saturday from 12 PM to 10 PM.

Restaurant owners Tony and Nanako miss many Japanese dishes in the Netherlands. So they put all their favorite dishes and drinks on the menu. It offers
crispy chicken, udon noodles and real wagyu from Japan. There are also vegetarian and vegan dishes, such as the vegan rice bowl, curry donburi, and Japanese fries.

At the new hotspot they also serve a lot of specialty drinks like classic cocktails with a twist and Japanese whiskeys. For example, order a MojiTokyo with Japanese sake for an extra taste sensation or a local whiskey made with groundwater from the Fuji mountain area.

The menu also features a variety of matcha dishes and drinks made by a Japanese pastry chef. From various matcha desserts, such as the Matcha Parfait, a popular dessert in Japanese cafes, and homemade matcha ice cream to (warm) drinks with matcha, such as the matcha latte. In addition, vegan matcha ice cream is also available.

Because matcha is a reasonably new phenomenon in Rotterdam you can order the matcha at different levels. The higher the level, the stronger and purer the matcha. The staff can help you decide.
