Rotterdam’s OBJECT design fair: A celebration of creativity and innovation

From February 14–16, 2025, the former V&D building in Rotterdam will transform into a vibrant hub for contemporary design. OBJECT, one of the Netherlands’ leading design fairs, is set to showcase over 10,000 m² of creative brilliance across two floors in the heart of the city. Next year marks a transition from the HAKA building to AIR Offices, offering an exciting new backdrop for hundreds of design pieces, from furniture and lighting to textiles, ceramics, and jewelry.

Spotlight on emerging talent and trends

OBJECT is known for identifying cutting-edge trends and fostering new talent. Young designers, many fresh from top design schools, will debut their work alongside seasoned creators. This edition features playful furniture by Berlin’s Shigeki Yamamoto, minimalist lighting by Eindhoven alumnus Tristan Guyot, and bold ceramic sculptures by Carly Zegers, Nadine Kroon, and Jingge Qu. Live demonstrations, like Studio GGTHH’s on-site production showcase, highlight the craftsmanship and sustainable practices shaping modern design.

A global and multidisciplinary platform

The fair brings together an unparalleled mix of national and international designers across various disciplines. Highlights include striking furniture by Yamuna Forzani with Rademakers Gallery, magical masks by Teresa Hunyadi, and debut works by Job van der Berg. Beyond Space blurs the boundaries between design and architecture with its subversive “boring” furniture, while Bleached Renaissance blends fashion, art, and design.

An iconic setting

AIR Offices, with its expansive atrium and striking views of Rotterdam’s landmarks, provides the perfect stage for next year’s event. Visitors can immerse themselves in the vibrant downtown atmosphere, with additional talks and exhibits hosted at nearby venues like Dudok aan de Meent.
