Explore the city during Rotterdam Night Walk

Just when it’s starting to get dark the Rotterdam Night Walk will start at Monday 27 December. It will be the second edition of the unique evening walk through the atmospheric, illuminated streets of the city center.

Enthusiasts can choose for a 6 km or a 12 km route to walk off the Christmas dinner on Boxing Day. The route starts at Binnenrotte and participants will stroll along various landmarks and highlights. The streets will be decorated with lights and elements. Buskers play music at several spots along the way. This will be a unique and fairytale experience to enjoy with friends, family, or colleagues. Participants will get winter delicacies along the way and receive a beautiful souvenir at the finish.

Participants of the The Rotterdam Night Walk are asked to donate money to the
Friends of Sophia Foundation. This foundation supports Sophia Childrens Hospital, their ambition is to expand the children’s coronary care center.

Children with serious diseases of the heart, lungs, and airways are treated there. The goal is to work towards the realisation of a special child-friendly exercise lab, where these children will receive optimum support to build up maximum fitness and muscle strength after an operation. Good physical fitness is important for everyone but vital for children with heart, lung, or respiratory diseases.
