Richards & Resmann is founded by Ric Richards and Peter Resmann. Together they are very experienced in home renovations, home furnishings and construction supervision. Instead of inviting new clients to an office, they will open an experience suite this coming Saturday – September 4th – on the Bergse Dorpstraat where customers can enjoy a fully catered, experience of the various exclusive products and materials.
After many years of experience with diverse clients, top designers, and agents of luxury products Peter and Ric believe that a showroom should be much more than just a place for living products and materials. Every client has their own lifestyle with specific wishes. In a luxurious living atmosphere, customers can discuss their housing requirements by appointment.
The specialists can show a taste of top brands of kitchens, sanitary ware, and materials. Richards & Resmann work with top brands such as Gessi, Gaggenau, Miele, Sunshower, Solid Nature, Siemens and Quooker. Fun Fact. Quooker is an invention by Henri Peteri from Rotterdam.
Peteri was working at Unilever’s London headquarters when he had the inspiration. During a presentation on instant soup he was wondering about boiled water coming out of a mixer tap! Once at home in Kralingen, Peteri went into the basement to develop a prototype of the world’s first boiling water tap. That took a lot of time and money. But when the first model was available, Peteri sold it to friends and acquaintances, who were extremely enthusiastic. Once a Quooker was installed, it was impossible to live without it.
When son Niels completed his studies and joined his father, the idea became a product. In 1992 the first Quooker (‘quick cooker’) was introduced. From the moment that son Walter also joined the company, Quooker slowly but surely started to gain ground on the market. Things really started to take off in 2000. The boiling water tap caught on in the Netherlands and in 2004 the first batch of Quookers was exported abroad. But of course, it’s also available at Richards & Resmann.
A true showcase by Richards & Resmann
On the first floor, a real experience suite is created. Here clients can enjoy the fully catered, experience with the various exclusive products and materials. Because they wanted to make the new center a showcase of what they love to do: create beautiful projects. They took the original blueprint restored the original facade in Hillegersberg as best as possible. Inside they worked together with BigBrands for the furniture. BigBrands is a specialised company from Rotterdam, providing complete interiors.
