‘Or Die Trying’

Dreamers and fighters: Is giving up an option? How much of a fight are you willing to put up to accomplish your goals? Hip-hop, film and Thai boxing come together in “Or Die Trying” by Alida Dors. The piece is performed by four Thai boxers and three dancers who push beyond their limits in an attempt to achieve new personal bests. This interdisciplinary performance addresses ambition, self-discipline and self-destruction. Choreographer and sociologist Alida Dors investigates the power struggle between self and society in this unconventional and daring work.
