Rotterdam-based interior designer Lotte Faassen presents the Benson Sofa Collection

Lotte Faassen is an innovative young interior designer from Rotterdam. She works with a feeling for beautiful, luxurious and innovative materials and already has several award-winning projects. Now, together with Rapture Interior Luxury, Lotte created the Benson Sofa Collection.

Lotte Faassen has been working independently as a designer for Studio de Blieck, her mother’s interior design studio, where she works on her own projects under the name ‘Lotte Faassen x Studio de Blieck‘. The basis of her interior designs are always natural materials in subtle colour nuances with organic lines. This is also reflected in the shape of the sofa and the choice of fabric. The modular sofa that she designed together with Rapture can be put together entirely to each liking. It’s possible to have a large U-shaped sofa or an extravagant, playful S-shape with seats on two sides. Because of the accompanying loveseat, it’s possible to link all elements of the individual collections together. At least 15 different combinations are possible.

Lotte Faassen and Rapture

The first sketches of the Benson were made by Lotte for her new apartment. Her initial idea was an S-shaped sofa, with the TV and living room on one side and space for low dining on the other. In the end, however, it became a U-shape. After a few brainstorming sessions, this idea grew into the plan to design and produce a complete modular Sofa collection. The first one has been put into use by Lotte herself, to her complete satisfaction. Early in her career, Lotte Faassen worked for Rapture and now they are coming together again for a joining of their creative forces.
