Lima

The Food Halls at Kop van Zuid are home to many world cuisines, including Mexican. It’s worth queueing up at Lima’s food stand to get one of their chipotle braised-beef tacos, prepared with 100% corn tortillas that the owners import from Mexico. Forget heavy dishes laden with cheese and beans. Lima is Spanish for lime and this sour fruit is put to great use in Lima’s kitchen to give their tacos that ultimate, tangy freshness. Their signature dish is taco al pastor and anyone who has ever tried Mexican street food will instantly recognise those vertical skewers lined upon the grill. This marinated pork specialty is topped with pineapple, serving up more delicious fruity-fresh flavours.
