Children eat for free at De Beren

During the May holiday, it turned out to be a bull’s eye: families who joined De Beren Rotterdam Alexandrium were given a tasty treat. Children up to and including 12 years old were allowed to eat for free with every main course ordered, which made for many happy faces. Due to its success, the campaign is returning, this time as a permanent weekend tradition. Until 20 July, young guests will join us for free every Saturday and Sunday. One main course for an adult means a free child’s dish. And that is good news for families who like to eat out together, but also want to keep it a bit affordable. “We received so many nice reactions during the May holiday, families who really enjoyed themselves,” says entrepreneur Rebecca Kats. “We thought: we have to continue this, because if the children are having a good time, the parents are usually just as happy. And that is of course what we do it for.”

Weekend treat for families

Until 20 July, families are extra welcome at De Beren Rotterdam Alexandrium every weekend. If you order a main course as an adult, you will receive one free child’s dish. Perfect for a lunch break while shopping in the shopping centre or a cosy dinner with the family. In addition to a free plate full of goodies, there is another surprise waiting for the little ones in the restaurant. “What many people may not know is that we also have a large play equipment where children can let off steam,” says Rebecca. “This way they can play for a while, while the parents relax after dinner.”

Wednesday discount thanks to Kidsclub

In addition to the weekend discount, there is another extra for young visitors to Alexandrium Shopping Center. Anyone who takes part in the Kidsclub on Wednesday – a children’s activity organised by the shopping centre – will receive a flyer with which they can also take advantage of the free children’s promotion on that day. This way, a visit to the shopping centre becomes a fun family outing even on weekdays.
