CinekId in LantarenVenster

Cinekid visits LantarenVenster

Cinekid is the biggest film and media festival for all super curious children between the ages of 3 and 14 and their parents and grandparents. Usually, the festival takes place in Amsterdam, but starting this year, Cinekid will be a national festival branching out to other locations like LantarenVenster.

From 16 to 24 October, children and the elderly can watch the best films and series, explore the MediaLab and get their hands dirty in various workshops. With almost forty locations throughout the country and online via Cinekid Play, the festival gets near everybody!

Captain Nova opens Cinekid

The world’s biggest platform for children’s films and media, opens its 35th edition with the world premiere of Captain Nova. A modern and thrilling sci-fi film from director Maurice Trouwborst. This exciting sci-fi film begins in 2050. The earth is in such a terrible state that fighter-pilot Nova (Anniek Pheifer) goes back in time to 2024 to try and prevent an environmental disaster. But because of the effects of time travel, she looks like her 11-year-old self and no one takes her seriously. The one exception is Nas (Marouane Meftah), a teenager who helps her with her mission. Will the 11-year-old Nova (Kika van de Vijver), together with Nas, be able to save the world?
