Borrelboer brings delicatessen to the Hofbogen

The Hofbogen is a unique complex in the Northern part of town. This railway viaduct is over 100 years old and now the archways accommodate new businesses like De Borrelboer.

The neighborhood store offers everything you need for the typical Dutch informal social gathering with drinks and snacks, also known as the: Borrel. From freshly sliced charcuterie to special flavored chips and a wide range of wines to a big selection of beers. There are also freshly made delicatessen like salads and meatballs.

Owner Maarten Boer decided to open the shop after working as an account manager for a slaughterhouse. As he has a passion for beautiful products and an above-average interest in everything to do with food and drink, the idea for his
own delicatessen store began.

At De Borrelboer he offers an extensive selection of charcuterie. Many from Dutch soil, like the pâtés and filet americain. “Completely made without the addition of artificial aroma and flavorings!” exclaims Maarten. He imports his Parma ham and salamis himself. In the vitrine are delicious appetizers such as marinated shrimps, anchovies, and various tapenades.
