Baroeg maquette in Miniworld

Baroeg gets a place in Miniworld

Miniworld is a unique experience. The Dutch landscape and the architecture of Rotterdam are presented in miniature. Miniworld is already celebrating its 15th anniversary this year. But Baroeg already has its 40th anniversary this year.

To commemorate this they set up a collaboration with Rotterdam shoe store Mascolori, clothing store WolffBlitz, and art collective Monkidoe, which was also responsible for the characteristic graffiti on the Baroeg building.Β This summer Baroeg will release an exclusive line of shoes and clothing with these parties. Finally, there will also be a book about 40 Jaar Baroeg.

The success of Baroeg has also been noticed by Miniworld Rotterdam. So Baroeg and Miniworld are bundling their anniversaries with a grand unveiling. Director Marc van Buren – a great music lover – made way for Baroeg to be the first pop stage with a model in the attraction. When you push a button you’ll hear music from local bands Cenobites, Die Nakse Bananen, Thanatos, and Officium Triste who have all performed at Baroeg more than once.

The new additionΒ will be on display from Wednesday, July 6, 2022.
