The Valvetronic Brassband and Moonlight Benjamin break New Grounds

For years Grounds has been the stage for pioneering, emerging and well-known (inter)national musicians and bands in the most diverse musical styles. Besides programming live music, Grounds wants to contribute to the cultural climate in Delfshaven by providing a place for local talents. To take that ambition further a new location is opened. A former school at the ’s Gravendijkwal now houses New Grounds.

At both Grounds, they go from Turkish folk to Afrobeat and from Latin to Sahara blues. The program in both clubs will consist of eclectic, adventurous and metropolitan music. From modern classical music to hip-hop, and everything in between.

The coming period you can expect a fresh take on hip hop from Dubioza Kolektiv, mestizo from Muyao Rif, the Nadara Transylvanian Gypsy Band and Tuareg Blues from Tamikrest.
