Feyenoord Euromast

Feyenoord on top

Jens Toornstra is the proud captain of Feyenoord. He has opened a unique Feyenoord-exhibition on Rotterdam’s famous landmark the Euromast. 20 unique images from the club’s history  are exhibited at a height of 100 meters until the end of this year.

The exposition of celebrates the historic franchise and pays homage to generations of Feyenoord’s heroes, teams, and achievements. The exhibition includes images from the archives of Piet Bouts and Edwin Verheul, images from photographers John de Pater, Soenar Chamid and Eyecatcher. Several legends and other former players like Willem van Hanegem, Jan Boskamp, Wim Jansen, Eddy Treijtel, Gerard Meijer, Dirk Kuyt, Jens Toornstra, Pierre van Hooijdonk and Robin van Persie at special moments are in the exhibition.

The photos are printed on aluminium and hang on the railing on the platform of the Euromast. After the exhibition has ended, the photos will be auctioned off online, including signatures of the main players. The entire proceeds of the auction will go to the Dirk Kuyt Foundation.

High level teamwork

The Euromast has been the icon of Rotterdam since 1960. Once built for the Floriade, later almost doubled in height, it has been a popular attraction for decades and is still the tallest observation tower in the Netherlands. Thanks to the unique collaboration between FSV de Feijenoorder, the Euromast and the Dirk Kuyt Foundation, visitors to the Euromast can not only view Rotterdam from the platform, but also Feyenoord’s history.
