Inside Rotterdam Brasserie Jules

Brasserie Jules is now part of World Trade Center Rotterdam

The popular Brasserie Pierre has branched out. Brasserie Jules has opened its doors in World Trade Center Rotterdam. Indoors and at the large terrace along the Koopgoot you can enjoy the famous French brasserie dishes from early morning until late at night.

“The brasserie can seat around 95 guests for breakfast, coffee, lunch, drinks or dinner. And of course, the famous date cake of Brasserie Pierre is not missing on the menu of Brasserie Jules” says Leon Kleinekoort, owner of both brasseries.

The World Trade Center has a long history. A stock market was opened in Rotterdam as early as 1598. After several relocations, the iconic accommodation on the Coolsingel was built. In 1987 the striking green ellipse-shaped tower was added to the complex. Now there are some other major changes taking place.Β

Commissioned by Bouwinvest, which added WTC to its portfolio in 2014, the building is being rigorously tackled both inside and out to meet the latest standards for workplaces. This will take account of the original design by architect Staal and the monumental significance of the building, partly by restoring elements from the original design.

Jules accompanies Postillion and VondelGym

“Our iconic building is currently undergoing a complete revitalization. Working in an attractive environment with international allure, right in the heart of the city center, is possible at us. In addition to the availability of high-quality office space, the renovated WTC is equipped with various facilities and services, such as a Postillion hotel and soon the new VondelGym. The arrival of Brasserie Jules is one of the crowning achievements of our work and an important milestone in the realization of the WTC Rotterdam Master Plan”, says Eveline Steenbergen, Managing Director of WTC Rotterdam and WTC The Hague.

Postillion already operated the Convention Center and opened a hotel in the monumental building earlier this year. To this end, office spaces have been converted into 168 hotel suites.

This way WTC Rotterdam becomes even more attractive for the international business market as visitors are now ensured a complete meet-work-stay experience. The building also houses a conference centre, the Koffiesalon, an Art Gallery, WTC Service Store, car parks and shops.

National monument

“I am proud of the international allure that our Master Plan has managed to bring back to our WTC,” says Steenbergen.

The high-quality architecture and rich history earned World Trade Center Rotterdam the status of a national monument. WTC has a perfect finish and a high service level. The approximately 100 tenants are all dynamic and growing companies. These include internationally renowned names as well as local start-ups and both corporate and creative companies. In addition, there are various business travelers and expats who rent space at WTC Rotterdam.
